Teens Find Sam’s Club Card In Secluded Woods, Take Off Running When They Google The Name ‘Kosik’

By: Barbara Diamond/Little Things  If you see something, say something.

The Dunmore Reservoir in Pennsylvania is a popular destination for hikers. One evening in March 2017, two teenage boys — Joe Delvecchio, 18, and Alec Yanisko, 15 — were riding an ATV near the reservoir’s nature trail when they spotted something that looked out of place.

Little did Joe and Alec know that they’d soon be responsible for solving a mystery that’d been plaguing their community for days.

Regular cars aren’t typically seen in this secluded area of the woods, so when the boys saw an SUV about a quarter mile from the nearest road, they knew something was amiss. The windows were smashed and the vehicle was also stuck on a log.

So, Joe and Alec decided to team up and do some investigative work. They reached inside the unlocked car and found a Sam’s Club card — with the name “Edwin Kosik” on it.

They quickly typed the man’s name into Google and realized it had recently been all over the local headlines.

That’s when the boys rushed home to tell their parents what they found. They called the police and led officers back to the same area of the woods.

And just after dark, these two teenage boys became unlikely heroes. Watch the video below to see what transpired there two days prior, and please SHARE this amazing story with your friends on Facebook!
